EPHJ 2026: High-Precision Presses for the Watch Industry and Precision Engineering At EPHJ 2026 in Geneva, SCHMIDT Technology showcased exciting solutions for high-precision manufacturing in watchmaking and precision engineering from June 16 to 19. Geneva, as the heart of the Swiss watchmaking industry, was the perfect venue for this. SCHMIDT® presses have a long tradition in precision engineering production, yet we are not resting on our laurels. We showcased several innovations designed to help our customers optimize their production lines. The highlight was the new and compact high-precision SCHMIDT® ServoPress 602, featuring the SCHMIDT® SmartGuard safety concept, mounted on a PU 20 press base and equipped with the SCHMIDT® PressControl 700 control system, The force-stroke-monitored SCHMIDT® ManualPress 307 hand-lever press with SCHMIDT® PressControl 700 bridges the gap between manual force and real-time monitoring of good and defective parts. Classic models, such as the 13RFZ toggle-lever press (with return stroke lock, fine adjustment, and counter), the 5RZ and 3HRZ rack-and-pinion presses, have been enhanced with our new stroke release feature for even greater safety (shown here on the 3HRZ model) as well as the new SCHMIDT® PartProtector with force limiter on the 5RZ rack-and-pinion press. As always, it was a great pleasure for us to be able to assist interested trade visitors with our expertise.

SCHMIDT® ServoPress 602 – Precision in perfection The latest model of the SCHMIDT® ServoPress family is ideally suited for pressing tasks in applications such as fine mechanics, spring testing, medical technology, the watch and jewelry industry, as well as small motor and electronics manufacturing. The high-precision press can be equipped with a two-hand safety system, light curtain, or the SCHMIDT® SmartGuard solution. Successful assembly trade fair Motek 2024

Successful assembly trade fair Motek 2024 The 42nd Motek, the international trade fair for production and assembly automation, took place in Stuttgart from 8 to 11 October 2024. This year, it was once again a complete success for SCHMIDT Technology. Numerous visitors were particularly impressed by the demonstration of the positioning repeatability of 1 - 3 µ using the example of our SCHMIDT® ServoPress under maximum load. The new SCHMIDT® ElectricPress 347 also enticed many visitors to try out the intuitive user interface of the SCHMIDT® PressControl 700. We are very pleased with the positive feedback and the numerous contacts we were able to make. This is encouraging in times like these and will continue to inspire our efforts to develop innovative problem solvers. Many thanks to all visitors and interested parties.

Safety for Torque- and ServoPresses

During the development of the compact guarding SCHMIDT® SmartGuard, the focus was on ergonomics and protection at the workstation. The transparent guarding completely encloses the working area during the pressing process, effectively protecting the operator and third parties from reaching into the danger zone and from any ejected parts or splinters. Thanks to minimised distances to the work area, workstation can be significantly improved in terms of ergonomics and efficiency. The high dynamics of the NC-controlled protective bonnet and its variable positioning and stroke speed optimise the work cycle. The danger of crushing in the closing protective bonnet is eliminated by the clever design.
