SCHMIDT Technology offers qualified application advice, functional models, service and, on request, detailed training.

Each SCHMIDT® flow sensor is individually calibrated in a wind tunnel and checked for compliance with the specified measuring accuracy. Upon customer request, each flow sensor is subjected to a test in a calibration wind tunnel after completion and the measured values ​​are recorded in a calibration certificate. The customer thus receives a proof of accuracy for each sensor and can use the sensor in applications that are subject to quality monitoring, for example according to ISO 9001 or GMP .

For the creation of high-precision calibration certificates, SCHMIDT Technology has two state-of-the-art wind tunnels in which SCHMIDT® flow sensors are measured fully automatically. Both wind tunnels have reference elements that can be traced back to national standards. The regular inspection of the wind tunnels is subject to the monitoring of the SCHMIDT® quality assurance system according to ISO 9001.

Atmospheric wind tunnel
Very little turbulence and a precise flow profile are the characteristics of the atmospheric wind tunnel. Its measuring range extends from 0.1 to 70 m / s, so that most SCHMIDT® flow sensors can be measured with it. Even the smallest flow velocities, as they are indispensable in clean room applications, can be exactly reproduced with this wind tunnel.

Pressure wind tunnel
With this wind tunnel, SCHMIDT Technology has a calibration wind tunnel that is unique in Europe. This enables standard flow speeds of up to 200 m / s to be generated and sensors to be calibrated and checked under overpressure. Its outstanding flow quality enables a comparison of the SCHMIDT® high speed sensors with the smallest tolerances.

Factory or DAkkS calibration certificate
At the customer’s request, SCHMIDT Technology can supply a factory calibration certificate for every SCHMIDT® flow sensor. Alternatively, we also offer you a DAkkS calibration certificate for most sensors. Please contact us.

Calibration and Competence
The competence of a flow sensor manufacturer begins with the selection of the right wind tunnel. All of the wind tunnels we use have been meticulously planned and precisely optimized for your applications. Every new flow sensor from SCHMIDT Technology goes through an intensive test program in the wind tunnel until it is approved for use by the customer. Behind everything is a profound knowledge of our company about the fluid mechanics of gases and the physical functioning of our flow sensors.
