Successful presentation of cleanroom flow measurement at the LOUNGES Cleanroom Processes 2026 trade fair
From March 24 to 26, 2026, we presented our extensive expertise to interested visitors at the LOUNGES Cleanroom Processes trade fair in Karlsruhe.
Energy efficiency in cleanrooms
The topic of sustainability and energy efficiency in cleanrooms continues to gain importance and was reflected in a variety of ways in the presentation program. For SCHMIDT Technology, this topic is not new, as we have been developing products and solutions for decades to optimize cleanroom flow measurement and support you in meeting energy efficiency requirements.
Energy efficiency in cleanrooms Considering that 35% to 50% of total HVAC consumption in a cleanroom is caused by air recirculation fans, and that the production of ultra-pure air consumes up to 80% of the total energy, significant savings potential exists in this area.
In particular, ensuring the overpressure cascade can lead to substantial energy savings through intelligent design of the flow monitoring system. During downtime, the consumption of clean air can be significantly reduced by implementing the overflow using the SCHMIDT SS 20.400 flow sensor with bidirectional flow measurement and direction detection.
Interested? We would be happy to discuss with you how SCHMIDT Technology can support you in this essential task.

The SS 20.715 LED flow sensor is a robust solution for the continuous monitoring of laminar airflow in cleanrooms and clean applications.
SS 20.715 LED – robust flow sensor with dual-pin sensor head
The tried and tested cleanroom flow sensors SS 20.415 Twin (first duplex flow sensor), SS 20.450 Verification Probe (reference measurement) and the SS 20.715 LED (dual-pin sensor) round off our product range and complement it in a meaningful way. This allows us to cover virtually all applications in the pharmaceutical environment: laminar flow measurement, room-to-room flow measurement, filling systems, fume hoods, FFUs, isolators, RABS, mini-environments, and safety cabinets, to name just a few. Even applications in potentially explosive atmospheres are no problem for us with the SS 23.400 ATEX 3.
We thank all our visitors for the productive discussions and look forward to future joint projects.
